Dolna Banya Airport has all the necessary facilities: runway, hangar, communication system.

The airport "Dolna Banya" is the first private certified airport in Bulgaria.
ATO RATAN – Dolna Banya Airport has the privilege to provide Part–FCL training courses under Approved Training Organization Certificate Number BG/ATO-009 by THE BULGARIAN CIVIL AVIATION ADMINISTRATION.
ATO RATAN operates out of Dolna Banya airport. The airport is equipped with an asphalt runway, control tower, hangars and communication facilities. It is situated close to the cities of Sofia and Plovdiv. The climate is mild, continental. The terrain is flat, surrounded by mountains.
ATO RATAN has all year activities supported by qualified personnel.
The theoretical training center has all the necessary equipment to perform high level of education and training.
ATO RATAN students have the option to plan their courses according their preference.
The flight and ground training is facilitated by highly qualified instructors with long experience in military and civil aviation. Every student receives personal attention and the training is adjusted according his/her individual level of knowledge, skill and performance to achieve the best results and fulfill the training objectives.
The aircraft operated by ATO RATAN are registered by the BG CAA. They are EASA certificated and equipped according the requirements of the flight training programs.
It is situated in a picturesque valley on the upper stream of the Maritsa River, between the towns of Dolna Banya and Kostenets. The region is full of mineral springs, near the Borovets resort. In the area of the airport are several prestigious holiday villages, motel and golf club. The proximity to the high Rila Mountain, the mild climate and well developed infrastructure of the region provides an excellent opportunity for year-round relaxation, sport and tourism. The presence of a swimming pool, bar, barbecue and the coolness of the Maritza River contribute to make your stay even more pleasant.
Airport "Dolna Banya" operates the FTO "Rattan". The main activity is the training of professional and amateur pilots of very light and light aircraft - from the beginning until their licensing. To carry out this activity, FTO "Rattan" Ltd. is certified by the specialized civil aviation authority / CAA / at the Ministry of Transport.
Along with its main activity the aviation center offers entertainment flights with duration specified by you. New modern aircraft and the professional and well trained pilots - instructors are on your service.
