Our goal is the development of small aviation in Bulgaria.
Dolna Banya Flying Center consists of Airport, Flight Training Center and Aviation Operator “Ratan” ltd.
Dolna Banya Airport is the first private airport in Bulgaria, fully licensed under the requirements of Civil Aviation Authority. The building of the modern facilities starts in 1996. In 1999 the Airport had its certificate for operational fitness.
The Flying Center is situated in the upper Maritza river valley, in the middle of the road between the towns of Dolna Banya and Kostenets. The whole area is perfect for flights and famous for its mineral springs and forest reserves. The airport is just 65 km. away from the two biggest Bulgarian cities – Sofia /the Capital of Bulgaria/ and Plovdiv. Next to the airport is the world famous ski resort Borovetz.
The basic activities of the Flying Center are storage, maintenance and trade with VLA, and most of all training pilots for VLA. Gradually Dolna Banya Airport has turned in to a meeting point for the people who like small aviation and want to exchange information and ideas about it.
The combination of highly trained stuff and perfect infrastructure gives the people who like small aviation the opportunity to have unforgettable moments and gain aviation experience.
